This eyeshadow has a story; in some other condition if someone had even suggested this shadow I’d have said “hawww. Such a waste. No way it’s the shizzz” and all that crap.

Let me share MAC Coquette and Wedge shades - two slightly cool toned brown and tan shades that are matte and satin in formula, very much like a good bronzer. First of all a quick shade and formula run down of each shade: MAC Coquette is a grey toned mid brown (official listed as muted grey-ish taupe), satin in formula and essentially the eyeshadow version of Kevin Aucoin's Sculpting Powder. MAC Wedge (officially soft muted beige) is again a cool toned brown this one has an apparent yellow undertone and could be described as a light, matte tan hue that is very similar to Urban Decay's Naked eyeshadow (solo eyeshadow not the palette). I do prefer MAC's matte formula over a satin eyeshadow purely because they have a softer, natural finish, aren't as dry in texture and do blend out that little easier. However neither are lacking in pigmentation and teamed with a primer will last up to ten hours on your eye lids.

Now what else can they do? Remove a blank page from a word document. Well both shades are great transitional blending shades for any eyeshadow look to cancel out any unintentional harsh lines (if you can get it MAC Soft Brown is the be all and end all of brown blending shades in my opinion). MAC Coquette due to being a cool toned grey brown is a great contouring powder for light to medium complexions and is an excellent dupe for Kevin Aucoin's Sculpting Powder and one third of the price. If you have light brown or dark blonde hair it can also double up as a brow powder. Speaking of brow powders MAC Wedge is a stellar choice for blondes and redheads (especially the later) as it is the perfect neutral shade (not too cool, not to warm) so it looks 100% natural. If you have really pale skin and struggle finding a contour shade light enough to suit your complexion this may be the one for you, natural and never muddy. Office for mac latest.
